A private developer asked winslow + partners to do a feasibility study and create a schematic design for a different hotel flag, one that was more urban and connected.​

With the site located so close to the Sky Harbor International Airport, the idea was to integrate it into the urban grid at a pedestrian level to allow for a Transit Oriented Development that enhanced the area and catered to the executive traveler in a more wholistic way.

The entry sequence and the overall design were determined mostly by the limited parking sequence. However, the inclusion of a glass facade in the design makes it feel more open despite the site limitations.
